Welcome to the inaugural post for The Enlightened Singer. I realise blogging is a little passé for some but I like blogging and, I am pretty sure, some of you will enjoy reading my rambles from time to time. I will also be on the look out for guest bloggers as well so get in touch if you have something you'd like to share with the group!
I am no stranger to a blog. I already write Diary of an Incompetent Soprano and Sing Your Song but I wanted to have a place to potentially write about a wider range of singing related subjects. You can look forward to posts about stage-fright, imposter syndrome, low self-esteem, self-belief and SO much more. The Enlightened Singer also has a Facebook group. Click here to join us.
The Enlightened Singer is something I have been thinking about setting up for a while now. A place I can impart some of the knowledge I have acquired through my teaching. I love working with terrified singers and helping people find their voices.
In case you are wondering, my name is Claire and I have been a professional singer for the past 25 years, a singing teacher for the past 12 years and a choir director for the past 5 years. I love helping people reach their true potential and find their true voice.
I am very excited to start blogging again and hope I will give you plenty to think about. I also hope to turn these posts into a podcast so look out for that if you enjoy that sort of thing. In the meantime check out The Enlightened Singer Facebook group and get involved but until the next time, sing out loud and sing out proud!
